Workshop: mindfulness for stress and burnout
The incidence of stress and burnout is rising in the UK, with around 90% of adults reporting a period of extreme stress, and as many as 20% needing to take time off due to poor mental wellbeing (Mental Health UK's Burnout report 2024)
When prolonged stress goes unmanaged it starts to give rise to burnout, at which point it becomes much harder to return to a more balanced and regulated state. You may have experienced this before - it does not feel good!
Some of the early signs of burnout are:
exhaustion
loss of enthusiasm
difficulty focusing
feeling unable to cope
physical signs include trouble sleeping, headaches, poor immunity (increased illness), gastrointestinal issues
Fortunately, there are practices which are proven to be incredibly effective at combating stress and burnout, and I teach them in a way that ensures they fit into even the busiest lives.
In this 90 minute workshop you will:
Learn about your response to stress and burnout, including some of the unexpected habits which may be contributing to it
Experience evidence-based mindfulness and self-compassion techniques to combat stress and help avoid burnout (or bring you back to regulation if you are burned out) - this is your toolkit of practices and exercises to take away with you
Understand the benefits of these practices and how to incorporate them into your busy life in a way that is genuinely sustainable
Leave with a suite of meditation audio's to help support you in your practice at home
